Through Hostile Country depicts the 10th Calvary regiment better known as "The Buffalo soldiers" escorting an Overland Stage Coach through Indian Territory.  he rapid movement of the stage coach, carbine in hand and galloping horses gives indication of unfriendly country.  These soldiers aided in the settlement of the old west in many ways.  they guarded mail carriers and stage coaches, constructed roads, strung telegraph lines as well as maintained law and order on the Great Plains of the Southwest.  their bravery and dedication sealed a place in American History.
